According to the NY Times, the insurer has seen its earnings rise during the pandemic, so it’s awarding premium credits to people enrolled in its plans.

Key updates include:
- Premium relief credit calculations now available
On May 7, UnitedHealth Group announced the release of more than $1.5 billion in the form of premium credits for its fully insured group and individual plans, dental customers, Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement policies, and Medicaid plans. The relief calculations are now available, please reach out to your dedicated client service manager for details. - UnitedHealthcare will not send lists of customers with specific amounts to brokers; please proactively convey this information to your clients as needed.
- Credits will be applied to July premium billings received by customers in June. There will be a bill-stuffer in the July bill, which arrives in June, explaining the premium relief on the statement. This is the only communication on the amount that customers will receive.
One of our clients located at NJ will receive a 15 % discount for May Premium bill. This will apply to Fully Insured Small and Large group medical policies.
